Welcome to the 2021-2022 Virtual Programs
All of our programs have been transformed into a virtual format. Each grade level has become a unit with unit lessons, videos and kits available to all educators in the Verde Valley for FREE! Unit Lessons and Kits are available for pick-up or we will deliver to your school. Please contact us at erincody@vnrcdeec.org to reserve your kits for your class or home-schooled student.
Kids Conserve Water Virtual Programs
Each grade level has 4 lessons associated with the Virtual Program Unit. Each lesson focuses on an essential question: Where is water found on Earth? How does water get into and out of houses? Why is it important to save water and not waste water? How can I conserve water? Each lesson has one or two associated video that accommodates the lesson and kit. Water Stewardship Virtual Programs
Each grade level has 2 lessons and virtual field trip videos associated with the Virtual Program Unit. Each unit focuses on an essential watershed topic: Water Connections, Groundwater and Springs, Native and Invasive Species, and Properties of Water. Farm to Plate Virtual Programs
In partnership with Arizona Farm Bureau and Yavapai County Farm Bureau, Agriculture in the Classroom, Arizona 5 C's, and Food Connections are all Virtual this year! Both 3rd and 4th grades will have units with three lessons each. Kindergarten through 2nd grades will still learn more about agriculture through the Fall Pumpkin, Read Across America, and Earth Day Reading Events!
